We worked on the cabinet door panels this weekend. Cut each of our glued pieces to the correct size, sanded them, routed the cove, sanded some more, and put the first coat of sanding sealer on them. They are looking pretty good.
These are all the door frame pieces laying in sets on the floor of the dining room. We have an awful lot of doors!
Hooper is keeping an eye on his pool... he doesn't want any other deer to think it is ok to check out his pool! The window sills are the perfect height... when he looks out the window he rests his chin on them...very cute!

DEER WATERING HOLE
This deer thinks Hooper is ok with sharing his pool with her. Hooper did not agree and was barking from the window.

BABY MOBILE
Been working on a mobile for baby's room. Cut a bunch of pinwheels from different colors of paper and used rivets to hold them together. Then I got some wooden rings and painted them some different colors... Then with some help with Tommy we hung the pinwheels from the rings and got them to balance. These are the different groups of pinwheels hanging from the dining room chandelier... I need to convince Tommy to put some hooks in the ceiling in the baby's room so we can hang them in there!
WEEK 30 of pregnancy!!! Only 73 days to go! Feeling good other than some swollen feet at the end of the day...

CABINET DOOR FRAMES
Worked on the cabinet door frames this weekend. We cut 3.5" strips of cherry board first... then we ran one side of that through the jointer to get a straigh/flat edge... Then each board was run through the shaper with our door frame bit. They came out great! In between we glued up a majority of the remainder of the door panels.

RASPBERRY PICKING
We had some visitors today... raspberry pickers. Tom's mom and grandma got a bunch of raspberries and there will be plenty more in the near future if the birds don't get them first.
We were working in the garage on the cabinets. We cut pieces for each of the door panels throughout the weekend and then today Tommy used the jointer to fix up the edges. Now when you put two pieces together you can hardly tell it is two pieces. We even got a jig going to glue them all together...

KITCHEN CABINETS
The driveway is finished along with the dirt and mulch on either side. We planted grass on the one side and it is already beautiful... It didn't take very long at all! All we have to do is put some pavement in front of the apron at the street.
We started working on the Kitchen Cabinets last weekend. We got the cabinet plywood, made cut lists, cut and dado'd all the pieces and then glued and assembled the carcasses. We got a majority of them done last weekend and finished up a few during the week. Then on Friday night Tom and his dad lined all the cabinets up outside and sprayed the inside with a clear coat sealer. There are A LOT of cabinets! You can't even see them all in these pictures, some are behind the stacked ones!
This weekend we are working on cutting up some of the cherry wood for the door panels. We lined up all the cherry boards outside yesterday and started matching them up as best we could and cutting the sizes we need for the door panels. Today Tommy is setting up the jointer so that we can fix up all the edges and be able to glue them up! so far so good!
