PAINTING STAIRCASE AND SPINDLES

The staircase is all taped up... The treads that Tommy clear coated are all covered up and there is tarps covering the floors and walls... Now it is time to paint!

RANDOM STUFF

Tom's parents and him worked on shredding some branches today to make mulch to finish up the edge of the driveway for the Hunterdon County Soil Conservation District.  They even rigged up the truck so it didn't make a huge mess everywhere and was easily transportable...

Was able to get a few fun shots of Hooper and Otis... They were outside all day and got pretty tired!

 
Decided to close in the nook between the kitchen and family room... a few coats of spackle and some paint and it will be as good as new!

Started taping the stairs today, getting it ready for paint! not fun!

CLEAR COAT ON STAIRS

Today is Jess's baby shower and so while I was out of the house Tommy worked on clear coating the staircase.  He was able to find a clear that has a non-slip feature... the coefficient of friction is higher than it is on most other clears... It was a bit of work to get everything taped up and ready but it came out great!

STAIR WAINSCOT

Finished up the wainscot on the staircase... It came out pretty good, now we just need to prime and paint!

Otis enjoyed laying on the hearth of the fireplace and basking in the glow... he liked to do his sexy poses!
