CONCRETE DRIVEWAY

We spent the week putting up the forms for the driveway... We thought it was going to rain on Saturday though so we had to push to finish the first half by friday night since we decided sort of last minute that we would pour on Saturday after all.  The crew showed up early and the first truck was right on time at 7am.  Things weren't super smooth at the beginning, but eventually everyone found their job and it went fairly easy.  The second truck had a better groove and poured really quick.  150 feet of concrete that is 11 feet wide... A bit of work but it looks great.  Thanks everyone!

CHERRY WOOD

Lamar was over today and helped Tommy cut up some of the cherry wood for the cabinets.  They cut one side straight and got rid of the wany edge and then they planed each of the boards.

FINAL INSPECTIONS PASSED

Today Tom's parents were here to entertain the inspectors and the tax assessor (boo!)... All the inspections passed!!! woohoo!!! And at this point we are still waiting to hear back from the tax assessor for both our tax amount and what we owe for COAH.  All we have to do now to get our Certificate of Occupancy is paperwork, i.e. pay money... We have to pay the remaining 50% of COAH, the hookup fee for the sewer, the CO fees, and a bond because we haven't finished the driveway in the right of way...

FINISHED THE INSPECTION LIST

Today the inspection list was completed... everything is ready for the inspectors to come again tomorrow morning... hope we pass this time!

Good thing is that the last time they were here we asked if we could start moving in and they had no problem... of course that means I have been curtain shopping, removing things stored in the attic, and we picked up the baby furniture from Amy and Andre's on Saturday night...
