HURRICANE SANDY FALLEN TREES

Root ball of large tree that fell toward the front of our house.

Look how big it is compared to Hooper.  Yikes

Root ball from the other side

150 foot oak that just brushed the front of the house and crushed all our hillside landscaping... took out one of our Plum trees, and a piece of the birch trees, and who knows if it destroyed some of the junipers.

The tree is all the way down the front yard, near the stream...

The tree top is all over the front lawn and path to the front door

Thankfully no real damage to the front of the house...it broke the corner piece of the siding and bent the gutter

and tore off and broke all the caps on the railing

and put a hole in one of the posts...

but thankfully it fell in such a way that it really did not do much damage... if it had swung a little bit more it could have done more damage.

It even took out another fairly decent tree out on its way down... ugh!

This tree is in the back yard... that branch has looked a little ominous for a while so we weren't surprised this fell off, but why did it have to land on the weeping willow we planted... thankfully it only did a little damage to the willow

This tree is in the woods in the backyard and split another tree in half

another uprooted tree

it took a pallet of paving blocks with it

this one uprooted and narrowly missed the neighbors shed
